The Uptown Farmers Market Opens Saturday, November 1st!

Welcome to the Uptown Farmers Market!

This is the project that we have been working on for you for so long – about a year, in fact.

We really thought hard about what we would love to see for our neighborhood and for our kids. We have 6 between us.  That’s a lot!

We wanted to create a food-based Saturday morning market in our neighborhood with everything we wanted.  We wanted one that included loads of parking, indoor space to move vendors indoors during the hot summer months, lots of clean bathrooms, opportunity to include educational programs/events, and a central location. That lead us to the North Phoenix Baptist Church. It’s the great big church at Central and Bethany Home Rd. You know, the place where the Fiesta Light parade starts, the place you go when you’re teaching your kids to ride a bike or *gasp* drive!

We’ve been there to attend the baseball card shows, traffic school, birthday parties at the indoor roller rink, work out in their fitness center. We just love how this space has been the community center for our neighborhood and we thought it would be the ideal place to hold the kind of market we wanted to have. We can tell you that we’ve made so many friends there and around the neighborhood who have supported this venture.  A great big thanks go out to them and we can’t wait to see you at the market!
