Gunnar & Jake’s crafts small-batch pickled vegetables made with no sugar and low sodium — a reflection of founder Kristi’s lifelong journey with kidney disease and her determination to create foods that are both healthy and full of flavor. After undergoing two kidney transplants, Kristi turned her passion for cooking into a purpose, inspired by her desire to provide wholesome, homemade food for her two sons, Gunnar and Jake.

What began in her kitchen as a mother’s mission to nourish her family has grown into a brand rooted in love, resilience, and gratitude. Every jar is made from the heart — a tribute not only to her sons but also to her late father, Thomas Stefansky, who was her greatest supporter and inspiration. His strength, honesty, and belief in her continue to guide everything she creates.
