A South Phoenix Twist on Classic Bagels

Bagelero is a beloved local bagel and juice pop-up in South Phoenix, founded by Arizona natives Pablo Orozco and Catherine Vidales. What started as a modest driveway operation quickly turned into a local favorite, known for its fresh, delicious bagels and unique flavors.

The idea for Bagelero was born while Orozco and Vidales were enjoying bagels together in Tempe, during their time at Arizona State University. They realized there was an opportunity to bring something new to the bagel scene by incorporating their Mexican heritage into the recipes. After experimenting with different ingredients and techniques—like using high-gluten flour and barley malt—they perfected their bagels, blending traditional methods with their own cultural twist.

Today, Bagelero has become a local sensation, offering a wide range of flavorful bagels that reflect the duo’s commitment to quality, creativity, and the flavors of their upbringing.
