The Salted Knot

"Yep, Chad and I, we're kind of old. Gen-X old. We experienced life without the internet and without cell phones, and we watched the first music video live on MTV.

We appreciate people and their stories, and we don't give a crap about the petty stuff. There's just not time for it.

We started The Salted Knot during the 2020 pandemic after the music industry shut down. As a concert photographer for 12 years, I have been honored to be the house photographer for Live Nation and Celebrity Theatre, along with shooting for such publications as Rolling Stone, Arizona Republic, and others. So when the concerts stopped, I stopped. I was lucky to still have my job working with young adults on the Gila River reservation.

But things changed, as they did for everyone.

Chad has taught English at MCC for years, and then took a position in the Writing Center. After COVID hit, he lost his regular schedule, so we had to change things up fast.

Since we're known for our tenacious side hustles, we started making soft pretzels from scratch. We decided to make them for friends and for their friends, and then for anyone who just needed a little joy in their life. After that, things took off!
Who knew?

Now we're rockin' out delicious handmade soft pretzels and getting back on track. We just wanted to thank you for telling your friends and family about us, and thank you for letting us bring some pretzel goodness into your life.
